Passion.

Because I get passionate about things, I tend to end up posting where I shouldn't, receiving replies that I should expect, and then sending back replies that are maybe a little harsh.

I saw a video on YouTube about a talented BMX rider, who had called in favours to build a massive ramp so he could complete the world's first triple backflip. It was impressive, no doubt, but I left the comment: 'And people die of starvation every day.' simply because this was so much money spent on one guy essentially completing a vanity project.

So what kind of responses can you expect on YouTube?

Here:

'your a pussy, bitch ass. fuck starving people they can get a damn job. and you can quit crying for them and do something about it bitch' from iTH3SIMPSON

To which I replied:

'You could do something about it too. Oh wait, 'fuck starving people'. What if there aren't any jobs to work at? Nevermind that, you have a YouTube account! You can swear and rant at people at leisure! You are a turd of a human being, and I hope you get ebola, you fucking shit smear.'

Heavy handed? Perhaps. But really, fuck these people. As Penny Arcade stated: anonymity + internet = fuckwad. They're so smug and comfortable in the anonymous sea of information.

They're falling out of the sky like flies.

I am woken each morning by ABC News Radio (because I'm innerlectual n' stuff) which for me works better than that awful beeping. Usually I open my eyes and ears to the traffic report, or sport, but this morning was refreshingly different.
'In which a young boy had a flying fox placenta land on his face.' was what I heard. Instinctively, I leaned over and pressed snooze, so I didn't hear what the circumstances were, and frankly, I don't want to.

Made a mental note to keep my eyes on the trees today, however.
